DUAL FREQUENCY
Diptych (50 x 40cm each) - oil on canvas
© Nezha Banjai-Duchan (november 2025)
Dual Frequency presents two figures captured in distinct yet interconnected states, each holding a different emotional temperature. One body opens toward the viewer with a gentle stillness, while the other retreats slightly, wrapped in its own private tension.
Through light, posture, and subtle shifts of color, the diptych reveals the movement between introspection and expression, vulnerability and presence.
The mirrored composition does not portray two separate stories, but rather two manifestations of the same inner resonance, variations of a shared pulse that echo, respond, and complete one another. The work invites the viewer to observe these quiet transitions, the space between gestures, and the unspoken rhythms that shape human connection.
Exhibited at Galleria Cael in Milan during Gifts of Art – L’Estetica del Dono, the series naturally aligned with the theme of the gift: the gift of offering oneself through posture, emotion, and energy, and the subtle reciprocity that arises when two presences reflect each other. Dual Frequency embodies this delicate exchange, a visual dialogue where giving and receiving exist simultaneously.
